Why I'm really here
I didn't start The Hookery because I had it together. I started it because I didn't. When life got loud, I tried the textbook things — meditation, yoga, the usual list. They helped, to a point. But what I actually needed was somewhere to pour the raw emotion and watch something beautiful come out the other side. Crochet gave me that. Not a way around the hard stuff — a way through it.
I knew I wasn't the only one scrolling, numb, looking for something that actually reached the parts that hurt. A head injury and dysautonomia brought me back to the hook a second time — and what came back with it changed everything: your reviews, your messages, the photos of what your hands made. That became its own kind of making. The full cycle — living, giving, loving. I built this for all of us ready to ditch the scroll for soul.
