Hi, I’m Emily — founder, head Hooker, and the human behind The Hookery.

I started this brand because life felt loud, fast, and full… and I needed something quiet, grounding and mine.
Crochet became that safe place — a gentle ritual that helped me breathe, focus, and feel capable again.

I wanted other women to have access to that same feeling.
The calm.
The pride.
The “holy crap, I made this” moment.
The joy of creating something beautiful in the middle of everyday chaos.

So I built The Hookery:

• Mindful guidance to help you feel calm, not confused
• A cheeky, warm brand voice to make you smile while you stitch

When I’m not crocheting, I’m probably mum-ing, drinking tea, designing new colourways, reworking instructions, or sending encouragement to another new Hooker who’s picked up a hook for the first time.
